Had fun with new exchange student!

September 22nd, the day was the first day of the fall semester. I was having trouble to get up early though I did it! I was pleased because I met my friends! I haven't seen them for a long time. We talked about many things what happened during summer vacation.After the school, the members of English weekend told about the camp for freshmen in their class. They were so quiet. It made us nervous. I hope many students will come to the camp. It will be so much fun!!And then, I went back my home town and worked five hours. During the time, my friends waited for me at downtown. After I finished my work, I went to downtown and met them.We went to Cowboy freedom and just have fun. But they remained me exchange students from last year. I'm missing them so much because we had great time with them and they were so nice. But actually, I'm sure that new exchange students are very nice either. I will miss them in a year. I really like to meet new people, but sometimes it's sad.
Anyways, I had a wondorful day!

☆September 19th☆
We had first orientation of the exchange program today, so I had to be at the school until 9:30. When I got up, it was 10:40…Ohhhhhhhhhhh my gosh!! I was too late. I’m so sorry Yazawa san. :’( I was so upset. I drove my car so fast and arrived at the school. And I met the other members who will go to study abroad. And I heard some information. I have to learn about England and prepare for my trip soon.
After the orientation, we had a meeting for English weekend. It’ll be so much fun! Also I have to prepare for it. I was being PR person so I will invite many people to come to English weekend! We had some coffee from Mr. Tomei. Thank you very much! The new English lounge is so comfortable!
I came back to my home and met my friends who were my friend since the elementary school. I know them very much so I had a great time with them. We went to Joyful. When we hang out together, we always go to Joyful, because we can talk for a long time.We talked about many things and had fun a lot!

Sleepy day

September 18th,
First, I went to the school to prepare for the school festival. I prepared a little, and I went to English conversation school at down town. The class was so nice. I really want to join them as soon as possible. But I have a problem. I don’t have enough money. :’(
I went back my home town by my car and went to the shop where I am working. I was so sleepy though…8(

!TGIF!

☆25ｔｈ July、Friday☆
It’s Friday! TGIF, this word was taught by Jeff at the speaking class in Japan. That means ‘Thank God It’s Friday’! I like the word.
But I was getting trouble at the lecture. Because of jet lag, I bet. It was about Adoption of America by professor of Psychology. She was so nice and kind and her lecture was also nice, but I was too sleepy. Sorry :(

After the school, Amy, Martha Joan, Abigail and I went to a drugstore to get something to drink, because we were thirsty. At the drugstore, I saw some fancy things, like American magazine and makeup kits, and took some pictures. I love American goods like that.

After that, we went to White Bear Lake (may be…)! We played at the beach for some time and went back home.

We joined with Fred and went to a restaurants that name is FAMOUS DAVE’S. They serve mainly BBQ meals. I had some ribs, potatoes and a muffin. It was first time that I had ribs. They were very delicious so it became one of my favorite foods! But it was too big so I can’t eat all of them. I chose to take out them at home for my tomorrow’s lunch. I was surprised how huge the foods and drinks are. And I was also surprised about clerks. They were so kind for me. If someone’s drink was gone, they came soon and gave a new one for free. It is a difference between America and Japan. In the Japanese restaurants, we have to pay extra money when we want extra drink. But in America, some kinds of drinks are served without extra money. It’s good system, I think. My mother Amy taught me about that. I will write it on my paper.

My father Fred is so clever. He can fold something like ORIGAMI. I was surprised because he did really good job lol

Book review [Stories of Pirates]

I read Stories of Pirates. I had to return the book on last Tuesday, but I forgot and brought it to America! And I can’t contact with librarians. Oh, my god!! I have to apologize to the librarians after I came back in Japan. I'll tell you one of the stories, ‘The pesky parrot’. A boy whose name is Charlie. He had spent ten years at Pirate school. And he tries to be a pirate.He knew how to read a treasure map, how to give a proper pirate's laugh and so on. Fortunately, he got old pirate ship by his grandfather, but he thought that I don't have something special. I need a parrot!!Then, he went to buy a parrot and got pretty parrot. He liked it, first.But the parrot always cried when Charlie try to steal some treasures of others. He shouts ‘STOP THIEF!!’After that, the captain notices his bad action. He gets mad and chases him. Charlie tried to reject the parrot, but he came back to Charlie many times. He didn't know what should I do? He was so miserable and didn't eat anything in the restaurant. Then, the parrot squawked again, because a thief was just about to wipe all the money! The landlord prized them.This gave Charlie an idea. It became his new job! They enjoyed the new job.And Charlie got some money and bought another QUIET parrot, again!

I think this story is funny too. The parrot is bad for pirates. He is too honest to put up with thief of his owner. I don’t know well that he is lucky or not!

School stared

Second day, I went to Bethl university first time. In the morning, my mother sent me a house. There is not university. I confused, but I've got it! This is car pool. I learned about carpool in speaking class so I could understand! Three people shared a car. This is good idea!

In school, we took ESL class and went to tour of Bethel. Bethel university is too huge for me so I may make mistakes many times.
After the tour, we went Riverboat Cruise at Mississippi river. It was so comfortable. I could see a lot of natures. I made a new friend!! She is so funny and kind! She interested in Japan so I want to teach about Japan.

We had good supper in the beautiful garden. We grilled chickens and ate with tomato. There were Delicious!

The next day, we heard lecture of a philosophy professor. He can speak Japanese very well. That was really interesting lecture!

After that, we played with balloons. We had good times! And after the game, we could have discussion with Bethel students. I asked some questions so I could know about American students life. I was enjoyed too.

After the school, we went to eat some Mexican foods and ice cream. It was so delicious. And we went to Velodorme. The place is to race by bicycle. My father really likes to ride bike and he usually go to race in summer. There were a lot of people, and it was so exciting!

Finally, I felt a sleep quickly.

AMERICA

Yeah----!! I'm in America now!!

The flight to America from Japan was really long. I sat down next to Shioro and talk with her a lot. And I talked with a woman who was sitting next to Shiori. She is Indonesian! She can't speak both Japanese and English, but we could talk on paper! I was enjoyed talking with her.

After I arrived in the U.S., I was looking for my host family, but I couldn't. Then, someone called my name YOSHIMI!! Of course, they were my host family! They knew my face so they found me! I was pleased because they had seven lanterns which written YOSHIMI!! My mother took pictures and we tried to find our car. First, we couldn't find the car and we were finding the car for a long time! haha!

After that, we could find the car and went to our house. In the car, we talked lots of things. My host family have four members. There are a father, a mother and two girls! They are 8 years old and 5 years old. They are sooooooooooo cute!! And they have two cats....And me!

First day, my host mother introduced my room. It's special room, I think!
After that, we went to picnic in the park and had lunch. Japanese students taught Japanese traditional playing to Minnesotan people. We had a good time! We went to a grocery store on route. It was first time that I went to go such a big grocery store! I was surprised and had fun with my host sisters! After we went back home, my host mother and sisters showed me their beautiful garden. They picked some vegetables and flowers, and gave me. The most surprising thing is that we can enter the room with shoes!! I was confused!! This is my first day in Minnesota! I want to put on some pictures, but I can't on my mother's computer. Bummer!
